Welcome! I‘m Loren Riedel, a Licensed Professional Counselor (TX Lic. #80100), a Certified School Counselor, and the owner of this practice. I was the school counselor at Clear Fork Elementary in Lockhart, TX for six wonderful years prior to opening Feeling Better. Before counseling, I was an elementary school teacher.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Bilingual Education from the University of Texas at Austin and my Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Texas State University.

When working with children, I practice Child-Centered Play Therapy. When partnering with parents and caregivers, I work from a solution-focused framework. It is an honor to work with children and support them through their own unique healing process. Children are remarkable, almost magical, in their capability for growth and progress. I consider myself lucky to be a part of this chapter of their life.
